During a dry spell, everyone longs for the rain, and once it rains, the focus changes. This happens with the longing of our families when faced with challenges, as when efforts will be made to seek a breakthrough. As much as we still have hope for things getting better, it is worth building an available, sustainable support system. Christ knows that we need sustainable support, and this is the reason he reminds us, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me, and let the one who believes in me drink. As Scripture says, ‘Out of the believer’s heart shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:37-38).
Why did Christ install the living water? It is a sign of our continued dependence on the divine? There is no way we can succeed in remaining separated from the divine and manage to have a fruitful life. It is proper to propose to have sustainable spiritual nourishment, especially through daily meditation on the Word of God. This may not be easy at the beginning; it requires a commitment to making Scripture part of our lives. If Christ offers himself to nourish us, why can’t we be ready to nourish our families through sharing insights from the Scripture? Imagine if we choose to clear our thoughts by seeking to know what the Scripture teaches. How much influence will we have on our families?
CALISCO has proposed to share the daily family inspirational message to help you come closer to the living water. We hope to make Scripture the source of our inspiration in whatever we are involved in. As a family, you will never regret having spent moments reflecting together on what the Scripture teaches. Try and see.
